Pre-Christmas Festivities

This past weekend Devin's cousin Dash got married in downtown Indy. The venue was really cool. On top of the Chase Tower overlooking the circle.  It was a fun excuse for a weekend away and I managed to pull together a non-maternity outfit which was nice and made me feel somewhat like myself.

I think Devin looked so handsome. Not that he doesn't usually, but he was extra good looking this night. ;)

Then, a day late, we continued our tradition with Devin's parents and celebrated the solstice with wine, cheese, bread, and chocolate.

Our wines for the night were a sparkling riesling from Traverse Bay area and a California Merlot that they serve at The Grand Hotel. I only had a couple sips of each, for obvious reasons, but it was enough to whet my appetite for when I can have a real glass of wine. I love that we do this solstice tradition and that it was something that developed so naturally.

Today is Devin's last full day of work for the week, which is exciting. Tomorrow will be on to Christmas festivities with our own little family, church service, and putting together the rest of Henrik's train table for him to find on Christmas morning. It's been a slow-paced last week or so, which has felt very nice and I'm thankful to not feel overwhelmed. I hear some people get stressed out this time of year. :)

Have a Merry Christmas!

The wine and cheese sounds fantastic, so does the wedding on top of a tower! Hope you all had a merry Christmas and the train table absorbs Henrik for hours in the year to come ;)
