Bump + Gender

Here we are...halfway!

Anyone else think that posing for a 'bump' picture is super awkward? Yeah me too. But then you regret it if you don't document it...so...you just do it.

I'm definitely bigger than I was with Henrik at 20 weeks. Not really in the weight gain, just popped out faster. Oh well. This is a side note, but look how long my hair is! I can almost get the sides up. :)

And we're super excited to share that we're having a...

Which apparently everyone expected. Good guessing, friends. :)

We really are excited to have another boy. I mean, Henrik has been darling and fun and (we think) is so dang cute, so why wouldn't we want another one? Though moms of more than one boy have been quick to tell me that we'll be so surprised with how different this one is. Since they'll be right around two years apart it seems likely they could be great playmates and friends and that makes me smile. Henrik is so social, he needs a sidekick!

It's also nice to be having a boy for logistical purposes. I'm excited to get out all of Henrik's cute baby clothes and know that anything we buy for him will now get reused. Plus I'm not sure our house could handle the clash of trucks and dolls right now. :)

There was one reason we were a tad disappointed that it wasn't a girl. The name. We had the best girl name picked out. We love it so much that it's a bummer not to be able to use it. And we have no boy names. We each have a couple we like, but nothing that at all seems like a for sure thing. Could be a long process.

yesssssss! Boys are so fun together...messy...crazy...fun. So excited for you guys. :) So sorry about not being able to use the girl name though. We had a different girl name in mind for nearly every pregnancy...but I hope you keep yours tucked away for later. :)

So exciting! I totally understand the disappointment with the name, though maybe having something fun to discuss during the cold winter months won't be so bad.:)

Cute bump! As someone who doesn't get to see you in everyday life, I appreciated your awkward gesture of taking and posting the picture. And amen to all the reasons to have two boys, a few years apart!

Ahhh a boy😃. Really quite fun to have the same sex child back to back and my huge reasoning is the clothes and toys;). It definitely gets more crowded with two genders of toys and clothes. However id never trade in my one girl😃

Two boys will be so much fun and I'm sure they will be best friends :) Good luck with the name. We were the opposite and had another boy name set in stone. We didn't name Everly until after she was born!

So fun that you're having another boy! I loved having the same sex and hoped that Creighton was a boy after Beck. It's easy to compare personalities when they are the same sex too, which I think is fun! Good luck naming - boy names are hard I think. :)
