3: Today I'm thankful for...

sleep. And the wonderfully fluffy, soft bed I sleep in.

Today has been a very long day.

Get up, make coffee and do BSF.
Realize I forgot a long section on the front page of my BSF so I do that too.
Start running behind on my morning schedule.
Look in the mirror, it's not a pretty sight.
My face has decided to break out and looks blotchy.
Spend more time on make up than usual.
Hair looks awful as well.
Concoct some weird side twisted ponytail thing.
Finally just shake my head and decide I'll look ugly today.
Put on weird-wasted zebra skirt and it makes me want to puke.
Pull out some random dress, tights, scarf and boots, once again shaking my head in the mirror.
Out the door to get blasted by a cold wind.
I realize I have no energy today and somehow got hit with weirdo allergies.
Run to library.
Run to friend's house, found out some news that suddenly makes me feel stupid for being in a bad mood because of how I looked.
Last minute lunch with mentors.
Run by Molly's to borrow pans for a birthday cake I'm making for my nephew.
She's not there, Jarod helps.
Back to work.
Try to stop by Molly's again to say bye, she's once again, not there.
Put in a load of laundry.
Look at ingredients I need for recipe recommended by mom.
Go to Meijer.
Bake cake and catch up on Dancing with the Stars while it cools.
Fold laundry.
Realize I don't have enough chocolate for the frosting, back to Meijer.
Have the worst frosting and filling making experience of my life with impossible consistencies.
Splatter white filling all over myself and my kitchen, so glad I was wearing my new black fleece (not).
Finally get the cake iced and kitchen cleaned up while listening and semi-watching today's View episode.
Realize I haven't packed yet and tomorrow have a breakfast thing, BSF and work visit an hour south of here from which I'm going straight home. I refuse to pack tonight. I'll figure it out tomorrow.
So excited to climb into my jersey sheets and down comforter until I realize I haven't blogged about thankfulness today.

So today I'm thankful for the bed I'm about ready to climb into and sleep I'm about ready to have.
I'm not just saying that either. I really do love that God gives us sleep.

And if I'm going to be real, I should add:

I'm not thankful that I got in and out of my car today somewhere in the range of 20-22 times.
I'm also not thankful that either my mom recommended a really hard recipe or I am a terrible cook.
