bella boo and the gracer

okay so these stories are too great not to share...molly sent me this about marlee:

We got a babysitter for the evening...she left a note for us with quotes from the evening (how great is that). Marlee said: "Miles is the cutest thing since sliced bread!" & "Do you know Emily? She hasn't decided who to marry yet." That came from a conversation I had with Marlee when she asked about you getting married.

The other night when I was watching kev&laura's kids, bella and i were praying for bed. she is so sweet and has the sweetest prayers, but i think she gets a little confused sometimes. she started by the standard thanking God for her family, loving us, for Jesus dying, etc. then came the good part: "thank you for the poor people and thank you for when we get spankings". poor girl, her mean aunt laughs out loud while she's trying to pray...i pretty much have the coolest nieces ever. :)

Emily: Loved your comments about Marlee and Bella. I'm on a 5 hour conference call so your blog is allowing great amusement during the boring parts of this call! Your mentioning Bella's bedtime prayers reminds me of the time the kids were at our house and Brecken volunteered to give the prayer at breakfast(Mickey Mouse Pancakes. He recited this great prayer and the minute he got finished, Bella reprimanded him (very quietly I might add) for not praying for all of the grandpas, gramdmas and all the aunts and uncles!! They are priceless!

hehe I love neices and nephews and the random things they say. I just spent 3 days with mine and oh boy--kids are crazy!

So my main question is: do you approve of Marlee and Smith getting married one day? We could arrange this, you know. ;)

oh kids, they really do say some of the cutest things. I had to laugh...about 2 years ago when Elijah was only like 3 1/2 and I had just got done giving him a spanking...he crawled down the steps and sat waiting for me to come down from the "spanking room". As I walked by him he said "mom, thanks for spanking me". I was in disbelief....why would he say something like that? I think its because kids realize we really do love them with all our hearts and want the best for them ,even when times are tough and they have to have a spanking for a reminder. You have some cute little neices!!!!

aren't nieces and nephews fun?!?! I"ve had some good laughs over mine too.

Marlee's comment about you getting married made me laugh too - When I was home from college for my birthday (I think it was my 20th), my niece Addy asked me how old I was turning. Upon telling her, she promptly asked me why I wasn't getting married yet since I was old. She was 4.

My other favorite is shortly after Ryan and I were married my nephews were spending the night and my nephew Brecken in his "thanks list" said . ."And thank you God that Ryan is so strong." It made his night. : )

You have to be such a fun aunt Em - your nieces and nephews are blessed to have you!
