ay corumba these girls are loco!
Many a times some of us girls found each other making statements about being obsessed with people or things on the trip (obsessed = think it/they rock, originated from Leah Gerber I believe...?). When I got home and to the restaurant to meet my sisters and mom, one of the statements I made was "oh my word, I'm so obsessed with the PYG" - more specifically the PYG GIRLS! The Lord has blessed me so richly with amazing friends. My life would be so empty without these girls...and the trip to Mexico would have been empty without Leah, Jodi, Christen, Ashley, Kendra, and Natalie. I loved all the other girls on the trip as well...but there's something to being surrounded by the people who know you so well. I gave you a little preview of some of our craziness. Of course I would never reveal the really juicy details. What happened in MX and Tucson stays there...:) Anyways - this is my ode to friends. In high school I didn't have a lot of close girl friends. I usually had one best friend and then a boyfriend or random guy friends. And let me tell you...there will never be relationships comparable to the ones I have now with my girls at Purdue. Dance parties & cardswipes are only the tip of the iceberg.
Among many other things on the trip, God showed me how blessed I have been to be integrated into such an amazing group. Thursday night the whole group sat in a circle and went around and each said who their prayer partner had been for the week etc... I was sitting there and it hit me that I chose to become a part of this group, and even if I hadn't - they would all still be living it up in Mexico at that very moment whether I was there or not. (Although I would like to think I add a little sumthin sumthin to the group) It was such a great feeling to know that I am not missing out on the blessings God has for me! I could have continued on as a "Christian" who wasn't living like one, but I would be missing out on SO much.

well, I can't say anything about the video (I am on lovely dial-up). But I can say the PYG SIS wouldn't be the same without you. I even have a great picture of you and your look-a-like emu to prove it.
I love you girl!
Ditto to the others! I can't imagine Purdue without ya! (Especially the great, the wonderful.... CDFS 210)
Haha... oh my word I about put MUCHO LOVE! and then realized that's basically what Leah put. Are we rubbing off on each other?!
Emily. I have a friend (Andrea Pfister) that says a little somethin, somethin & I am crazy about it. I find myself just saying it and giggling. She usually says it when we are watching a video and she is referring to munchies, which is another funny word. Now I am laughing- hehe. -J
