Ira, 7 months

These pictures are such a good depiction of Ira at seven months of age. Loves to chew on anything and everything. He's super content sitting outside on a blanket with a couple of toys and adores his older brother almost as much as he adores his mom. 

Ira soaks several shirts a day but has yet to pop a tooth, which is just fine with me since he's still nursing about 6 times a day. He's also having puréed fruits and vegetables and a few grains for breakfast and dinner. He loves to nurse and enjoys most of the solid food as well. He still has some issues with constipation so I try to give him lots of fruits like pears and prunes. 

Ira is finally doing pretty long stretches at night. He goes to bed around 7 as long as we are home by then and sleeps until 4 or 5 AM, nurses and then goes down for a few more hours usually. He mostly naps twice a day as he has just recently dropped his late afternoon nap. 

People comment that he is happy and contented. Really, unless he's hungry or tired this seems to be true. He smiles so easily and has become very interested in toys or even random items like disposable cups. 

Everyday Ira brings so much joy to our family. We are so thankful to have him!
