Our People

Lots of our favorite people have visited us to meet Henrik and bless us in many ways. I've failed at taking photos of all of our hospital and house guests...but here are a few I could compile.

We seriously have amazing family and friends. Gifts and meals and help have poured in and are still coming. Sometimes I almost feel guilty for the abundance of support I've been given. It's been a good reminder to bless others in this way because those first few weeks with a new baby definitely require support!

Laura and Kaitlin drove from Indy to come to the hospital - I loved having them! They came at a good time when Henrik was sleepy and no one else around. So fun to sit and chat with them. I love this photo of my oldest niece holding my son. Kaitlin is the same age I was when she was born. I used to love holding Kaitlin and couldn't get enough of her. So weird that she's in 7th grade and now holding MY baby!

My dad and Grandma G came to the house for a visit a couple Saturdays ago. Words can hardly describe how special my Grandma is and it is such a privilege to have her hold and know my son. I regret I don't have a photo of my dad holding Henrik. But we're going home this weekend so I will get one soon!

Not the greatest picture - but this woman is my hero. Having her spend a couple chunks of time with us at home was the best. The time with my mom was very special and she's great with babies. I found myself wishing she could move in. :)

Sara drove out on a snowy Friday morning and spent several hours with us. She's been my go-to for random pregnancy and baby questions. Older sisters are the best! So excited that her baby will just be a few months younger than Henrik! Oh and I could just eat that boy up in this picture!

Ross and Leah! Dear friends of ours (love that Devin and Ross have become friends as well)...these guys were some of the first people we told about this unexpected pregnancy of ours. I'll never forget the look on Leah's face when she realized I wasn't joking. :)
Devin's dad and his 4th grandchild.

Devin's mom - probably remarking on how cute her grandson is. :)
Unfortunately we missed photos of several family members and friends...but thanks to everyone who visited us and loved on Huck!

And finally, because it's so cute...he's turning into quite the capable father (not to mention even more amazing husband than he was before).

Loved this post! Family is the greatest and friends bringing meals and helping out is so amazingly wonderful!! Does make us realize how much we can help others.
I couldn't agree more with you on the comment about how our husband becomes even more amazing once we bring a child into the mix. Its like you see another whole side of your spouse and the love you had for him before child just excedes everything and you love him even more. Hard to imagine until you have actually gone thru it.
Will you be at church sunday?? If so, I can't wait to meet little Henrik and see him in person:).
