thus far has been quite excellent. So much so that I've had zero blogging desire. But all good TV shows break during the summer season, so I thought I'd roll with that concept.
Thus far, summer has involved all the things a good summer should...
This is the best summer I've had in years. Probably the best since a notoriously good summer 5 years ago. And since this one is much more edifying, I think it wins.
These are really just some random shots from some of the bigger events of the summer with family, including vacation and our girl cousin weekend. Some of the big events are yet to come with Betsy and family gracing us with their presence for the next month or so!
I think the craziest part of my summer is over, but there are still weddings to be had, family to be seen, and ice cream to be eaten. Unfortunately the day-to-day events (mostly involving friends) that are making my summer great aren't documented, so you'll just have to use your imagination to picture lots of tennis and volleyball and good conversations and rodeos and concerts and festivals and swimming and feet covered in mosquito bites and discovering new places in the fort and exhilarating bridge jumps ending in weeks of pain and...
whew, relationships....new ones, cultivating established ones, rekindling old ones, working on the ones that, well, need work, and continuing to be baffled by the ones that seem to be on an endless rollercoaster...relationships are exhausting, but I'm learning a lot.
