Maine

After Boston, the rest of our trip was spent along the southern and midcoast of Maine. Beautiful harbors, boats, quaint coastal towns, lobster, Inns, more ice cream, Maine brewed beers, Memorial Day festivities, clam chowder, cute (but expensive) shops, great weather...you get the point. It was rather fun.

Ogunquit, Maine: complete with gorgeous beaches, fun old houses and Inns, and a great place to karaoke on the weekends. :)

Proof that we all sang karaoke...

On to Portland! Complete with lots of fun shops and streets.

Seriously the most fun coffee shop I've been to, with the best americanos, lattes, and chai (I tried all of the girl's drinks and was thoroughly amazed at each one.)

I think this one speaks for itself...

Dessert. :)

Breakfast the next morning before leaving Portland. Betsy had recommended this little 'hole in the wall'. Seriously the MOST amazing breakfast! Lobster fritata, eggs florentine, and the best blueberry pancakes I've ever had!
Sipping a late morning DP with a redvine straw...a very good daily regimen.

The bay at Rockport...absolutely gorgeous!

Our charming Inn in Camden. Definitely our best night stay of the trip.

This was a fun memory, couldn't help but share. :)
Clam Chowder lunch where some very random guy finds us and informs us he has Christen's camera from the town we were in before...she wasn't even sure she was missing it. Crazy story...you should ask us about it sometime. :)

Our dinner spot in Camden (the one on the right)
View from dinner...probably my favorite view of our trip.

Once again, dessert.

Dinner at a lobster pound in Freeport before heading home. Good experience, though not something I'd like to do for dinner regularly...

I highly recommend a trip to Maine! I'm so glad we worked this out...I love traveling and I love these girls...win-win.

ok crazy, but that freeport town wharf where you are eating your lobster looks VERY VERY familiar. If my memory serves me right, this is where we ate too and I have never had such good lobster in my LIFE!! What a fun trip you girlies had. Glad you enjoyed it. makes me want to visit maine again. Maybe I will talk my family to go. Not sure nick or the boys have ever been there.

The thing about Christen's camera I am so curious what happened. That is super weird. So glad you dove in and ordered a lobster - SO WORTH IT! Loved everything in this post (this is shallow, but Especially your fun outfit combinations!) love ya!

Yeah, we need the story on Christen's camera!?
The karaoke pics were great. :)
I think you have convinced all of us to take a Maine trip!

Okay-here's the story: This guy came up to us as we were sitting there eating, back in this little nook behind a cafe (meaning we were out of sight from street traffic). Christen had just said to me about 10 minutes earlier "hmm..my camera isn't in my purse. Weird, I must have left it in the car...hopefully." So this guy and his wefe (about 45ish) are totally staring us down with weird looks. The guy walks up and asks if anyone is missing a camera. Christen says she might be and describes the camera. He proceeds to tell us he recognized us from looking through the pictures on the camera. Back at the Rockport harbor (super deserted) we had sat for a little on some benches and Chris left her camera there. They picked it up and left a note at Rockport to call them if lost a camera. Then they randomly decided to stop in Camden for lunch, randomly happened to walk behind this cafe (not where they were eating) and recognize us because of Christen's hair. :) So needless to say it was a really freak story of a lost and found camera. They were locals and ended up giving us good area suggestions...it was cool. The only odd thing was he recounted our whole trip to us, including Boston, which means he looked through ALL our pictures. Kind of odd, but they were nice.

Okay now that is even weirder now that we know the whole story. And you know he's probably reading your blog post right now too! :)
