Of the three books I was reading in January, this is the only one I made it through. In fact, this particular read was devoured in two days. It's that good.
Riyadh is a city in Saudi Arabia, also known as "The Kingdom" when you are in the middle east. Being in two of the countries that border Saudi, it was helpful to feel like I could somewhat picture the scene. But regardless...I would totally recommend this book, especially to women!
This fictional story is written as if it were a collection of emails that a Saudi girl scandalously sends out, telling of the lives of her four friends. Sort of a Carrie Bradshaw of the middle east (but less raunchy). Despite the story itself being fictitious, I believe it paints a very real picture of the life of the elite class of women growing up in Saudi, and other wealthy Islamic nations.
This book is thoroughly entertaining and so very interesting!
I've got a couple different books in mind for my February read...I should probably get on it!

Em, do you have it? I would love to borrow it (sounds like I am in line after Leah). Our library in Dekalb is lame. :)
