Arabian Nights (the song stuck in my head)

Trying to get packed up for the remainder of our trip in the desert of UAE. We have a short flight tomorrow morning to Abu Dhabi.

I have to admit I'm not ready to leave Doha. I really love it here and the time has gone way too fast! The last 4 days since I posted have been really fun with a variety of activities including boat rides, meeting Betsy's friends, amazing food, the souq, a mosque and some down time, in which I devoured a book of Betsy's called The Girls of Riyadh. I'll do some posts when we get back...for now I'll leave you with a one photo of what we did just a couple hours ago...

Betsy on left, Emily on right

Well, we didn't technically do it. The girls of the 'Hilton Saloon' did it (Saloon meaning Salon and it was definitely not a Hilton), a building with no windows and sign on the front door saying "NO MENS ALLOWED". A place for women to uncover themselves, sit back, and take in the fumes of mass amounts of henna. So fun.

Gorgeous henna!! I can soo relate with not wanting to leave Doha. What is it about that city? It's so intriguing and fascinating. Easy to fall in love with.

Forget Paris, that's what I say! ;)

Your henna is way cool! Probably the coolest I've ever seen! Hope the remainder of your trip is just as good as the first!
