then i'm losing on multiple accounts. see the past couple years i have found multiple ways to cut costs when it comes to textbook buying. sharing a book, renting it online, getting an older version that technically still works, or flat out just not getting the book.
it HAS BEEN working out relatively well.
wednesday i have the final exam to an online history class i've been taking. this has been an extremely ridiculous class, meaning a very easy 3 credits. so at the beginning of the class there were two required textbooks, a $80 one and $20 supplementary reader. basically i looked through the lessons and realized i could get by with only the $20 one. and i did get by perfectly...until now.
my exam is in two days, i'm on 'vacation' and i have 60 potential exam questions sitting right in front of me with no book to answer them out of. if i had the book, the exam would be a piece of cake...seeing as i don't...i will spend hours on wikipedia and other sites trying to find answers to questions like, "In Russia, the most basic duties of the citizens included:".
i actually worked on it for like 3 hours last night and only got 1/4 of the questions answered and with most of them i'm not even sure they're right.
shoot me now for not just spending the stupid $80.

oh man...good luck on that exam.
i would have done the exact same thing.
hope you had a wonderful time at the lake house. :) i'll be anxious to hear about your weekend and to see you soon.
love you!
How IRONIC!! So incredibly annoying, too! And those questions are so arbitrary...as if Russian citizens had a list of basic duties, it's probably something the textbook writers conjectured...or did they?
Yah I finally gave in this semester and bought I think all of my books-- although so far, 1/2 of them haven't been touched. :)
I DID get them online though, and saved like 170 bucks. Niiiice.
Good luck with that test-- me no envy ye.
