i have a history of being quite the baker. cookies in particular. in fact, if i remember correctly (and i'd like to think that i do) on several occasions i have been told by my mother that i was her best baker and that my cookies were better than hers. (one of the many things she's told me along with not getting a big head).
so i set off to make some cookies yesterday. normal chocolate chip except dark chocolate m&ms instead of chocolate chips. always a good choice! it should be noted that i often don't even end up eating one of my finished products due to the unfortunate issue of making myself sick with cookie dough.
i began mixing away...i was even wearing my amazing apron from leah, which ensures good cooking.
yes, i feel a little odd posting a picture of myself. but it's solely to show off the apron cuteness.
after all of my hard work...the finished product.......................
luckily, a quick call to linda with some good advice to add more flour solved my problem. the subsequent batches were much more up to par with my baking excellence.
should anyone needs cookies for an upcoming event...feel free to leave a comment with your order.

ok - LOVE the apron. Did Leah make it or find it somewhere (although I'm sure your cuteness helps it : ) ).
And I'm most definately with you on gorging on the cookie dough far before the cookies are done.
no amber, i'm not as 'martha stewart' as our dear emily...i got it at anthropology (name drop)...on sale, might i add.

You guys are so funny about the virtuous woman thing!!
I am pretty sure I made a call to Mom wondering why one of my first batches of cookies were so flat too...Super-Baker Linda to the rescue!
Oh yes, you know me. Later I vacuumed in my apron and new purple pumps. :)
