taylor this past weekend. the annual fall taylor event. ya know, did some hunting, wore some camo, drove john deeres, and ate um...horse. yes, horse...as in nayyyy or should i say nahayheyhehhhh. (crisp, i need you sound effects). okay so maybe i exaggerate a bit. but it was a great group. it was so fun to see people, have awesome worship, and of course be with 'cream of the crop' pyg girls. it was actually a really awesome weekend. great times there and on the roadtrip home.
school update: this has really been the best semester for me personally so far in my college career. the Lord has been so faithful in helping take a day at a time and really be where i am. it's been so freeing. i'm so thankful. i feel like God's constantly been reminding me lately of how faithful He has been to me, how much He has changed me, & how many things really have gone above and beyond what i could ask or imagine. these are times when i want to ingrain these thoughts in my brain for good.
on a less serious note, it was quite a morning. one of those 'you've got to be kidding me' mornings. so i have this history paper to write that was stressing me out. leah has this big accounting exam to study for. we get up and head to a coffee shop. we get there, the power is out. we wait for like 20 minutes until we overhear someone saying it could be another hour before the power is on. well that just won't work. laptops have to be plugged in, debit cards have to be swiped for coffee, etc. so we leave. we walk to my car to head to panera instead. i say (jokingly) "watch, we'll drive past and the power will be back on". well...yep. as we drive by 5 minutes later, the power was back on. so not a huge deal, we pull into panera. and as we pull in to a space with a one hour time limit, i comment to leah..."i'm so glad this lot is never monitored. they totally don't enforce the one hour parking."
the good news is, i finished my paper in less than 3 hours. the bad news. as we emerged from panera like 3.5 hours later, dun dun dun...

well it was the first parking ticket i had ever seen in that parking lot. unfortunately it was on my car.

Oh how sad! Parking tickets are dumb. :)
Good post-- good thoughts, good recap. Glad to hear the dreaded paper is a thing of the past!
See ya tonighter! haha I totally didn't mean to put "er" on the end of that, but it is funny enough that I'm just going to leave it. :)
