Little Women. Not a movie I'd necessarily recommend unless you have some sort of attachment to it. Otherwise you just have to watch Jo March turn down a 'perfectly good marriage proposal' from an attractive rich guy and end up with a rather revolting old German. However, Amy, the youngest one of the girls gets rich, attractive Laury. Which if you compare the "Little Women" to the Gutwein women. I get the cute rich guy. And compare we do...
Well, Betsy does. And the other night as I'm talking to her and mom about wanting to move to Paris for a year to write, paint etc. Betsy bursts out about how that would be fulfilling my prophecy of taking after the youngest March girl...
So, Sara can sort of be compared to Meg (oldest, practical, settles down early, has kids, etc.), Molly can sort of be compared to Jo (second girl, likes to write, dramatic, marries a revolting...just kidding:), then Betsy and Beth...well see Beth only really looks after the poor family and dies, so I guess the only similarity is that their names sound similar-unless you pretend the poor family are all muslims... But I suppose Betsy "never was like the rest of us". That leaves me and Amy. We're both blonde, worried about how we look as a young girl and wanting to be older than we are, fighting with older sisters, and well being the typical annoying youngest girl.
Okay so you may wonder where I'm going with this... See, Sara and Molly's lives are pretty decided, Betsy's is starting to look that way (and no, she doesn't have a terminal illness), and my life is quite up in the air-and by life I mean the future man I will end up with. Now, it must be said I'm not looking for a husband at this point in my life. But, should my life follow the trend of Amy there will be a 'Laury' awaiting me. Actually, Laury comes and sweepes Amy off her feet and marries her while she's in Europe painting. So...I need to find a great aunt who wants to take me to Paris with her and then figure out who will play the part of Laury. Hence the quest for 'Laury' begins...

Oh Emily, sounds like you're dreaming again! You always did have very interesting dreams:) Well, I did enjoy the ongoing comparisons between the Marsh sisters and my 4 daughters, but what about me and "Marmy"? Mom
Take me with you! ;)
Em, we've already concluded...
-Great Aunt Marcelle will take you to Paris.
-There you will be --almost-- engaged to a Frenchman (from the Pelsy side).
-At the last possible moment, David M. will show up at your art show...he is the ONLY neighborhood childhood friend of the family that was around Molly/Sara's age.
-Your life will be wonderful!!!!!!!
have a great time in MX!

hope you have a great trip!
