Thanksgiving break was amazing. Nothing spectacular went on, but being in fville for 5 days with my family was SO great. It totally exceeded my expectations and reaffirmed that I have the best family in the world (except once when Molly kind of yelled at me for something I said - that was annoying...but I'm sure I've done it to her). Friday Betsy and I went running/walking and did some crunches and pushups to attempt to compensate for the food intake on Thursday. Betsy was really sore the next day...like really sore. Oh B... We reinacted some of our moves for the camera...(in case you were wondering about the pictures).

Speaking of being at home...I would kill to be home right now in the care of Linda Gutwein. I'm sick. You know, coughing, sneezing, headache, and blowing my nose so much it's raw. Okay so I can function, but I still feel like crap. Whenever I'm sick I get a huge urge to go home. Last year at IU I got pnemonia and I remember feeling like I was dying, laying in my dorm room and wanting so much to be laying on our living room couch while mom tended to my every need. Mom was amazing when we were sick growing up. I remember coughing uncontrollably in my bed in the middle of the night - I wouldn't have to get up and go downstairs to get medicine because after I'd coughed for a few minutes the upstairs hall light would flick on. I would hear footsteps coming up and my door would open. And there would be Linda, double-fisting cough syrup and water. I'm not sure how she would hear me, but I always knew she'd come to my rescue. Someday I hope I can be half the mom she was. (And there's my mother's day tribute a few months early).

Joe from upstairs lent me some NyQuil which I will be taking very soon and hopefully sleeping for 10 hours...

Thanks for the mother's day tribute Em. You can call me mom instead of Linda Gutwein! It is a God given instinct to love and care for your children(along with the nurse in me :) so you can thank Him for that!! Love ya- Mom
