good summer. ups and downs as usual. got a lot of things checked off my list (there was no list) and then there's the inevitable few things that just never got fit in to what was supposed to be a laid back 12 weeks. so...here's what my summer was like (the phrase "in a nut shell" would fit well here, but i hate the phrase so i'll spare you)...
watched my friends move out and leave me alone for a maymester class. this was the biggest culprit who left me to share our room on marsteller street with...well, no one. i miss living with her! but that's for another time...back to summer.
moved home.
took online classes in order to graduate early.
worked 2 days a week and got really really sick of driving the boring highway to west lafayette.
God opened my eyes a little wider through a Bible study that fell into my lap.

a couple vacations, one with family, one with parents & friends.
finally read some good books. every summer i say i'm going to read and i don't. these were my two favorites, but i enjoyed all the ones i read.

various weekend escapades with friends.

wrote lots of poetry & other fun pieces for a creative writing class i elected to take. some of which i might share. a cinquain from my poetry portfolio is diplayed on the top right. also how i'm feeling these days.
bid farewell while watching a sister move to a country far east that i had never heard of until earlier this year. a pregnant sister i might add.

sat back and watched more change take place.
got a little bitter about change in general.
pondered life as i know it while avoiding thoughts of an unknown future.
future becomes very near and must be pondered.
plans are made. decisions made. everything's lined up.
once again hit with realization that you have to learn to roll with change to survive this crazy life.
now ready for my 6th move in 3 years.
except this time, there's no end date.
new job, new church, new city, new people, new relationships, new issues, new opportunities to serve.
same God. ahh...relief.
so here's to a great summer. and here's to the two amazing people that put up with me for most of the summer. i've never had so much fun chilling at home and going places with a couple of 50-somethings. so so so blessed to be their daughter!

wow! great update post.
that was everything that you wanted to post before but didn't! :D
happy moving.
loveyou.
Hooray, it's back your blog.
Blog your back is!
Back is your blog!
Your blog is back!
(Glad to have random ramblings and lofty lingerings of Emily back.)
Em- Dad and I got home around 10pm last night from moving you and I enjoyed reading this recap of your summer before bed. The house is quiet this morning- no Emily coming up the stairs, making coffee, sitting on the couch or porch doing her Bible Study. We will miss you but are excited for this new opportunity you have and for God's faithfulness!
You're back! Yay! I am excited!
Great summer recap and love the pic of you and LEah at the top ;)
