my dear friend christen did a rather awesome recap of the trip on her blog. and both christen and i guest blogged on the cve one to post about the pyg trip. check it out!
i will however, give you the 2 things my camera captured before breaking. basically two very realistic pictures of how we looked on a 34 hour bus ride.

we had such an amazing week and so many prayers were answered for safety, attitudes, and the overall spiritual focus of the trip. my best insight into the greatness of the trip is this:
so we're on our way home. dirty, greasy, low on sleep, already driven through one night and getting ready to do another. i believe we were still in oklahoma and had been driving through there for awhile...here's the scene:
20 of us on the white cloud, the rest of the group was in the van behind us. the mood is fairly calm. most people had just finished up some rest or devotions. some conversation...probably a turning point in the trip where it could go one or two ways...we could wait out the last 10 hours or so...sleep, put on our head phones, stare out the window, force smiles, and generally just want to get off the smelly bus...
OR
we could choose to be in crazy moods, and make the most of the last of the trip...thanks to our fluent & fun senor stieglitz who decided to hook up his ipod to the bus speakers and play crazy fun songs...the next couple hours were one of the highlights of the trip...
i was amazed as in unison most of the bus rose to the occasion, got up and started dancing. basically a big, white cloud dance party, and then singing in unison to fun songs that we all knew. at one point i just looked around to all my friends, holding fake microphones, belting out songs like you're the inspiration, dancing to the macarena, & loving life.
these are the things that will stick with me. these are some of the reasons i will ALWAYS look back at my time with the pyg and smile. through this group i have been taught so so much about loving & serving our great God, loving & serving each other, & enjoying life...
one word that could describe our trip...unity...how God intended it. (psalm 133:1)
p.s. my camera just started working again...classic.
