i love january 23rd

a little insight into the beginning of my birthday festivities...

ash & kendra leading me outside to the car late thursday night just a half hour before the clock rang in my 21st.

amazing desserts at greyhouse, stellar friends who said many humbling things that i was undeserving of but appreciated nonetheless. and a cute server guy to top it all off. :)

oh the singing...we visited a few apartments where the girls awkwardly sang to me and encouraged whomever was in that apt. to join in as well. it wouldn't be a complete evening with the girls if there wasn't some form of annoying the other inhabitants of marsteller.

friday morning, on my actual birthday, i woke up to this beautiful sign and the smell of pancakes and coffee. AND a seriously cute apron from THE anthropologie. :) leah gerber is the most amazing friend i've had...but i think i've mentioned that before.

leah remembered me reminiscing about how my mom used to make me mickey mouse pancakes. she filled in for linda. it was soooo good!

mom arrived a little after 10 to pick me up for a fun day of shopping in indy. doesn't she look so cute and youthful in this picture? thanks mom for such a special day together and for putting up with me for 21 years. little did you know that when you had your 4th girl, she wouldn't grow up to be quite as charming as the rest of them. in fact, she would cause you many tears and stress from ages 2 - 21. i promise to start making life a little easier on you if possible. :)
friday night, after shopping, some of us girls headed to red seven for a late dinner. it was so fun, but i failed to photograph any of it. maybe there is a reason for that...maybe not... ;)
i such a fun birthday and am thankful to everyone who played a part in making it great!

What an amazing group of friends (and mom)! Looks like this birthday goes down on the record as one of the best. How are you going to top that in a couple years for your golden one? sara

linda, if you look closely, you will see that both of mickey's ears are unattached. you're going to have to giving me a training lesson on how to make those things. you are super-mom.

love you em!!

Oh, it was all just so fun! I didn't realize that you had a micky mouse pancake! Pancakes alone are amazing...but peanut butter and mickey?! Amazing!

Loved being with you this weekend! :)
