going back to the stars

christmas is done. i sit here, for the first time in days, in silence. the living room is cleaned up, no wrapping paper or kids toys sprawled about. mom is napping, well deserved i might add..that poor women has been entertaining, making massive amounts of food, and catering to her family and others since wednesday. she deserves a break and to catch up on a little sleep. dad is out working...i think he was ready to get out of the house. i was ready to stay in.

and i'm sitting. thinking. wearing my favorite grey sweats and new l.l. bean slippers from betz (love them b!). listening to some coldplay. enjoying silence. enjoying alone time.

my legs are sore from laura, molly, and i's workout circuit yesterday. i think it was the first time in a couple weeks i had done anything physical...oh the joys of zero degree weather and ice. although today it's 55 outside. not sure why or how, but it is. i could go run...but i don't think i will. i don't want to leave this chair, this home. in more ways than one.
