Okay so the past few time I've gotten out of the shower, I go to put face lotion on and my face is covered with tiny shimmery things as if someone has sprinkled glitter all over it. I can't figure it out. I know it's not in my facewash. The water? The shampoo? Seriously...what in the world???
So I hear it's now 2008. I suppose I should have some goals, right? Well I really don't. See, when it becomes a new year, I tend to reflect more than look ahead. I really don't like to look ahead because life is so dang unpredictable. A year ago I would have NEVER predicted how my life is now...never! Plus why make lofty goals that will never be obtained? Yes, I'm a huge pessimist. Okay so I have made a few... a) floss everyday 2) this past weekend i was talked into running a mini in april...so i guess run a mini d) since weight goals seem to be popular - my goal is to not gain any and finally a c'over everything' goal 4) not look back a year from now and be thinking mostly of things I wish I'd done differently. I've been trying to look at my past at learning experiences instead of regrets even though they are mostly just regrets. So my hope for 2008...no regrets. I am happy for a new year though. It's a good time to sort of move on from the past and it's definitely time for me to move on from a couple things. Which btw I am happy to report is actually successful at the moment. God has been faithful in helping me let go of things that I thought would be a lifelong battle. It's so funny to see the difference between me trying to change and God changing me.
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone who doesn't already do 'year recaps' to do them! Back at the end of the year 2001 I started recapping the previous year on new years eve or day. Then at the turn of the year I also read back through all the ones I've done. The other night I had SO much fun reading through the past 7 years of my life. It was so weird to read about people that were named in my very first one that are still in my life today and then to read about people/events I had actually forgotten about. I laughed out loud so many times and cringed multiple times as well. Anyways...happy new year friends, and people that read my blog that I don't know about. (Feel free to reveal yourself at any time.)

em, it's likely one of the most creative things you've ever done, these year-end recap things. I applaud you for keeping it up these many years! Can I read them? :)
p.s. no regrets is a good life goal too.
no you may not read them...and don't go searching (okay i know you wouldnt, but mom on the other hand...)
Ah, re-caps..just following the lead of the infamous Francesville New Years Eve program, huh? That would be the ultimate in year-end re-caps. love ya, sara

Well that narrows it down to 3 options. Jeni, Jason, or Joel? I'm very curious as to how you found my blog, I didn't think a lot of people knew that I had one.
