Fourteen

We're trying to take advantage of the beautiful evenings and enjoy the outdoors while we can. Lots of parks and biking and downtown walks. Have I mentioned we love living in the city? I'm not sure my dream house can be found in the area we live, but I would have a very hard time giving up such easy access to the city. Strike that, my dream house is one street over from us, it's just way out of our price range. :)

I'm fourteen weeks pregnant, so according to an app I have, our baby is roughly the size of a lemon.

I felt the baby move for the first time last week. Three little jumps in a row and that familiar feeling of a fish in my stomach was back. I didn't feel Henrik until 16 weeks, so this was early, but I guess I knew what I was feeling, which the first time around I might not have. I'm really looking forward to my 15 week appointment next week to hear the heartbeat (always reassuring) and meet my new midwife. Really hoping this one is a good fit because I'd rather not have to switch again.

In the past week I've had two pregnancy migraines. I don't get migraines otherwise so that's why I'm attributing them to the pregnancy. It's horrid. If this pace keeps up I'm going to have to figure out some sort of a treatment solution or I think I'll go crazy before March comes.

The last couple nights Henrik has gotten up around 4AM and stayed up for about an hour. We're not sure what his reasoning is. Devin was up with him this morning and reported that at about 4:30 AM he was eating raisins and cheese in the living room. What a kid. (PS - Devin, I love you for letting me sleep.)

Last night I got to go out for dinner with four of my good college friends. We sat at a table just chatting for 3 hours until the restaurant was closing. Three out of the five of us are pregnant, so you could imagine what some of the discussion revolved around. :) It's so fun to see my friends change (in good ways) from college. We're not all quite as similar as we once were when we shared bedrooms and food and well, everything, but there's still that common PYG bond that allows us to pick back up and connect.

Well Henrik and I are off to do errands and visit Grandma W and possibly hit up a splash pad. Just another day trying to keep that kid occupied. I keep telling myself one of these days he's going to realize he has some fun toys and actually use them.

Ahh I miss our Tennessee splash pad!! A totally good thing about city living:). And besides the convenience of stores nearby but I'm totally hooked on country living with the boys that I have and the outdoor space and lack of neighbors which I totally like too;). Ellie was up last night too and I finally got her to sleep and I went to nick and said "I am so glad the night time waking is over and I hopefully never have to go back to that again with infants and little tykes:)" I love my sleep!!

Kudos to Devin! If it's not 6 am, Darin isn't waking up with the kids!!!
